Regulations for Non-Members
License: When and enrolled member purchases a license of any type they must be able to show proof of enrollment. ** All non-member hunters must be fully guided by a licensed guide. Call office for more info.
  Guides- Only enrolled members of the Gros Ventre and Assiniboine Tribes are authorized to serve as guides or outfitters on the reservation.
  Deposits-Licenses will be held in reserve with a 10% non-refundable deposit.
  NO refunds, transfers or exchanges of licenses without the Fish and Wildlife Director's approval.
  No motorized vehicles/equipment in designated areas ( i. e., wilderness area)

Regulations for All Hunters
Mandatory: All Hunters Must Wear Orange!!
Except Bow, Turkey Hunters and Decoys. Vest must be a minimum of 400 square inches.
Mandatory: All Hunters Must Return Hunter Data Survey
** All hunters must obtain written permission from landowners before hunting on private property.
** Absolutely no littering while hunting on the Fort Belknap Indian Reservation.

Any person between the ages of 12 and 17 must have completed a Certified Reservation, State or other foreign government Hunter Safety and or firearm safety course and show proof before purchasing a license.

General Rules And Regulations
The land and its wildlife play crucial roles in the lives of all Indian Nations.
    To protect them and to ensure your safety and your enjoyment, the Fort Belknap Indian Community reserves the right to regulate hunting and fishing within the boundaries of the reservation and to set seasons and bag limits. A State of Montana license is not required to hunt on the reservation.

Licensing

A. Conservations License-a tribal conservation license must be purchased before any other license can be purchased.

B. All licenses will be sold through the Tribal Fish & Wildlife Department located at Fort Belknap Agency or other designated locations.

Trespass- You may not hunt or fish on private, deeded or allotted land within the boundaries of the reservation without written permission from landowners. Permission Forms can be picked up at the Fish & Wildlife Office.

Harvest Data Questionnaire- any person hunting within the boundaries of the Reservation is required to complete a hunter data questionnaire. Failure to submit the questionnaire may result in future denial of obtaining hunting licenses.

4.  

Road Hunting- Road hunting is strictly prohibited. No game species of any kind will be taken on or from a road or right-of-way of an improved road or highway maintained by BIA, State or County.

5.  

Harvesting with Another Persons Permit- No person shall hunt, fish, trap recreate, gather or cut wood with a permit issued to another person.

6.  

ATV's-All-Terrain Vehicles MUST STAY ON ESTABLISHED ROADS and trails.
